We are looking for a Junior Medical Associate to oversee the operations of the Newborn Screening Continuity Clinic (NBSCC) at Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Medical Center in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

 

The NSRC serves as the national coordinating and technical support center for the Philippine Newborn Screening Program. Through the NBS Continuity Clinics, children diagnosed with newborn screening conditions receive long-term follow-up care, treatment monitoring, counseling, and referrals to help them achieve the best possible health outcomes.

 

Position Title: Junior Medical Associate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the continuity clinic team, working closely with the follow-up nurse to ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation of clinical and laboratory parameters
  • Facilitate timely referral of patients to appropriate pediatric subspecialists (Metabolic, Endocrinology, Hematology, Genetics) and nutritionists
  • Ensure comprehensive, coordinated, and continuous care for all patients under management
  • Provide genetic counseling to families of patients with heritable conditions
  • Coordinate with subspecialists and primary care providers to optimize patient care
  • Conduct a minimum of five (5) patient consultations per week, either face-to-face or via telemedicine
