Congratulations on a Satisfactory Performance Rating!

The Newborn Screening Center – NIH proudly shares and congratulates the 52 Newborn Screening Facilities (NSFs) from the NCR that were recognized for achieving an outstanding performance rating for the year 2024!

The top performing NSFs were given certificates of appreciation for successfully achieving the following desired metrics: <1% Unsat Rate, 1-2 days average age at collection and 2-3 days average transit time.

These NSFs have demonstrated consistent dedication and commitment, meticulously ensuring that each baby screened is done correctly – from proper collection of blood samples to getting complete and accurate information and sending these immediately to the NSC laboratory to be tested.

We hope that they maintain this remarkable momentum. Their continued excellence will undoubtedly motivate and inspire other NSFs to shape the success of our common goal to save newborns from mental retardation and early death.

Congratulations, and we hope to see more NSFs added to the list!
