The Philippine Newborn Screening Program marks its 30th anniversary with a special message of congratulations from the International Society for Neonatal Screening (ISNS).
In its letter, the ISNS recognizes the Philippines’ achievements in newborn screening and the collective efforts of healthcare professionals, program partners, and families who have contributed to its success over the past three decades.

The Society also pays special tribute to National Scientist Professor Carmencita D. Padilla for her visionary leadership and significant contributions to advancing newborn screening in the Philippines and across the Asia-Pacific region.
This recognition is a meaningful reminder of how far the program has come and the importance of continued collaboration in ensuring that more Filipino newborns have the opportunity for a healthier future.
